Looking for more of a certain style of indie rock

Hi all! I have a very specific brand of rock I love that's really hard to find. I particularly love stuff that has a strong beat, a "dirty" sort of guitar, and vocals that blend melodic and harsher singing styles. I think the issue is that I like a type of sound that bands sorta "grow out of" as they mature? It's hard to find musicians where their stuff is to my tastes and they stay with that sound for longer than their first or second album.

I think the closest thing to the platonic ideal of this I've been able to find is the first album by Harvey Danger, "Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone". Everyone knows Flagpole Sitta which is a slam dunk in my book, but some of the other ones from that album like Carlotta Valdez, Jack the Lion, and Picture Picture are also really really up my alley.

Some other bands that kinda scratch the itch I've been able to find are stuff like 1st album Panic!, early Green Day, Destroy Boys, first couple OK Go albums, and The Wrecks.

Appreciate any recs in this vein :)
