Sex while using metronidazole gel as suppressant treatment?

I had BV? Was prescribed the metronidazole tablets twice daily for a week. They gave me a yeast infection and I got two doses of diflucan. My doctor prescribed me metronidazole gel every 2 weeks for 3 months. Does this mean I… can’t have sex for the next three months?
