Newbie questions, bear w me!

I just got the FX3, I’m a stills shooter but I’ll be using it for vid. I thought I’d start in stills mode to get familiar with buttons etc. Shot an outdoor event today for fun, not work. At one point the 35 1.4 I have, a Canon lens, looked like it was more of a 50, or longer, then I turned the camera off and on and it was back to looking like a 35. In LR the images all report as being 24.5 Focal length, and then 36mm Focal length 35mm. Does anyone know what button I might have accidentally hit to change the apparent focal length? Thx.
