wheelchair accessibility

hi everyone, i recently became a full time wheelchair user and i'm curious if there are any other wheelchair users or family members/friends of wheelchair users who could let me know their experience with accessibility in huntsville. i'm well aware that most businesses do the absolute least to be ADA compliant and often times don't make sure that their ramps, elevators, automatic doors, etc. are even operational. i'm just nervous to go on my first outing with my chair and not be able to fit anywhere or even get in the buildings. i know a lot of the places i used to frequent and hang out at were a tight squeeze even without it and i don't want to miss out on the fun lol.
