[TOMT] Children's illustrated book from the '90s

**I'm not sure if it came out the in '90s but I was born in 1991 and it was my favorite book as a little kid**

It's an illustrated children's book, no text, only full pages illustrations, about (I believe) a boy's house or grandmother's house that comes to life at night. Really beautifully painted illustrations, naturalistic style, dark, warm colors, etc.

Vague details I can remember: spider-monkeys jumping around, fire-sprites that come to life from the candles, very vaguely remember a bear?

I think he was at his grandmother's house or he went to dinner party with his parents and went upstairs to explore the house which is when it came to life. When he's by himself.

I'm going crazy!
