Weird thing in my kitten's kibble bowl?

NSFW

Hi,

I got up today and noticed a weird, reddish-brown gummy thing in my kitten's kibble. I have a 4 month old male kitten and a 6 month old female kitten, and I don't know who was eating out of the bowl when this happened.

I'm baffled to what this was. I had pulled it apart with a glove on to see what it was, but it was intact, just like a red brown gummy when I found it in the bowl. It's not letting me add photos, please excuse me, I don't normally post and I'm a little uneducated on posting here.

There's nothing weird in the kibble bag, neither cat has thrown up or had digestive issues today, and they're currently tussling and playing normally. My boy is teething, could he have swallowed a tooth and coughed up this weird thing? It wasn't vomit, as there was no liquid or anything, and it was IN the food bowl.

And of course! A holiday weekend where the vet isn't open until Tuesday.

I chatted with the Chewy online vet, and she had no idea either and said to monitor them. Any thoughts or experiences? It's reddish brown, so I got scared it was blood.
