New Helldiver Advice

New to the Helldiver universe, and have been eagerly awaiting it's arrival on Xbox. Just purchased last night and played for about an hour.

Just looking for general advice of any kind - General gameplay tips, if it's worth purchasing the in-game currency / how the in-game currency/store works, what's the best way to level-up? Etc...

As a life-long Xbox player and Halo fan I obviously want the ODST crossover gear (I also see a lot of the other gear looks sick). - What's the smartest/easiest path to getting the gear you want?
