I keep stopping my old WIPs and starting new ones, I doubt its a good habit but I can't stop.
I got 45,000 into my first story.
About 22,000 into the next.
EXACTLY 5,000 into the next one
And with the one I'm in now, 8,000 or so.
It's never at a consistent spot, but I've found that after I quit the first one because it just wasn't working- which was really hard, it got easier to just... Quit and start something new.
I think it's often because my story doesn't have a direction to go in, I'm horrible with plot and it makes me go "oh, well... Before this next one I'll get a plot and then I can write!" But I dont, and I'm about to start another one but I know I shouldn't.
Is there any way to stop this, is it just will power I don't have? I care about all these projects, I do, but there so many of them. And it's really hard to go back and work on an old one after I've taken a break or started something new.
I know I should probably just write, but anything that makes sticking with one thing easier?
