This is probably an oversight, but you can use Skip psycasts (including chaos skips) to teleport enemies out into empty space, where they get stuck.

I found this out by accident while raiding the Mechhive to finish the questline. I used Mass Chaos Skip on a pack of mechanoids that were overwhelming my pawn, and I noticed one of them was out in space, and coudln't move. I later tested it with the Skip psycast to do it on purpose, and it worked as well. I havent tested this post-update so its possible its fixed already.
