Loan company violated terms of contract

I took out a payday loan but changed my mind the next day, before the funds were deposited into my checking account. When I reviewed my contract, it clearly stated how to cancel the loan, requiring written notice within the cancellation window. I followed those instructions exactly.

However, the loan company responded saying I had to cancel through a different method that was not mentioned in the signed contract. I refused and insisted that they honor the cancellation terms outlined in the agreement. They continued to push for their own method of cancellation, and now the loan is being reported on my credit, lowering my score.

Do I have a case against them for damages?
