GT 2025 PGA commercial not acceptinG NFC for contests

I’m a new player. My buddy just setup a 2025 in his arcade. I have an account and a card in my wallet.

When I start an online game I can go to 18 rounds and it logs me in and lets me pay via NFC.

If I do a contest like closest to the pin, it will only accept cash.

Is this on my end? Has anyone ran into this? I would like to pay using NFC like I should be able to!
