How to improve as Venture

I'm a venture one trick and I hit plat 4 after the recent rank reset ( I was gold 2 before the rank reset) and had a good 9 win streak a few days ago. These past few days the games have been pretty 50/50 and I'm struggling to rank up further. I feel like I'm not making enough impact and struggle to consistently get picks/ value. I've left two codes below one where I win and one where I lose and I'm wondering what I did right/wrong. Thanks :)
