Ego boost or overthinking?

Social

I'm what you'd call a "yapper", so I will try to make this as short as possible for yall.

Context:

I (male) met up with some family friends I haven't seen in a while, but know very well. It was so fun it genuinely felt unreal, some shit out of drama movies. 2 major events happened that lead me to create this post:

  1. A girl wouldn't stop looking at me. I caught her just staring at me for multiple seconds at least five times. No, I wasn't talking when she was looking at me. No, I didn't look at her first. No, there was nothing behind me, I checked. If I'll be honest, I'm not really into her so I tried my best to not look back, but I liked the attention. She didn't do this to anyone else as far as I know, and we never talked directly throughout the gathering

  2. I was talking to another girl (taken) about breakups, specifically over text and in which situations is it deserved or not. I brought up cheating, to which she accused me of asking this to justify me cheating on girl. I told her I've never had one, and she refused to believe me. It was clear she wasn't serious, but the vibe I got was a lot more of a half-joking manner than completely sarcastic. It's hard to put in words, but it took me opening up to her about my nonexistent social life for her to finally believe me

I'm not TOTALLY shocked. I'm not some sort of loser, I'm genuinely a nice guy that is definitely above average in looks, but nothing crazy, I've been working out for around a year which is not much but something, and no big red flags. I won't get into my situation, but the reason I'm like this is because I moved countries and changed languages twice in a short period of time, which gave me some social anxiety which I finally managed to patch up recently.
