should i feel bad about blocking and muting people who put me off?

okay, so. i recently posted my first work on a new account, and ive found that some people who bookmarked and gave kudos to it have written/bookmarked stuff that just disturbed me (i shouldn't have been curious, i know. i have a problem). i blocked and muted the accounts. i don't really care if i lose kudos or bookmarks on future work, at least not more than i care about not seeing that. these aren't even commenters, just random people in the ship tag and fandom. i know ao3 is an archive and i shouldn't be surprised to see anything of the sort. am i in the wrong?
