Zambia Safari May 2026

Hi all,

I have been to safaris in 6 different countries, and I will be going to Zambia in May 2026, for another safari. I understand that most itineraries there include camps in Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa. However, I am also looking at possibly doing a camp in the Busanga Plains. Since there is not much information available on the Internet about Zambia, I have some questions about the below proposed itineraries. Which out of the two sounds more appealing?

  1. 3 nights in Puku Ridge and 4 nights in Sausage Tree Camp

  2. 4 nights in Chisa BusangaCamp and 4 nights in Sausage Tree Camp

Has anybody stayed in Puku Ridge before and can share their experience? I think it would be worth it to sacrifice one night to be able to experience South Luangwa, and more specifically, Puku Ridge. I am also interested in hearing about anybody's experience at Sausage Tree Camp. Thank you.
