Warrior/Warbringers: Does Imploding Impacts work now?

Lot of older reddit posts say the ascendancy skill doesn't work and that on testing, there was no difference between a boss with 0 armor and one with -7000 armor.

Has it been fixed? I'm assuming the effect would be increased damage, is that correct? Of course, that also assumes that the node works as advertised.

Anyone know the latest on this?
