Is it worth it?

I’ve recently got into Hollow knight because I want to get into Silksong when it releases, and after 28 agonizing hours I “beat” the game. Though I am aware of the “True Ending” I tried the first “Dream Form” boss and got my shit rocked over and over again without ANY progress. Is there a reason to get the “True Ending” other than pride? I just wanted to prepare for Silksong.
