TLDR: Should you always be either rebuilding or going all in?
Completed my first startup draft. I'm feeling okay about my team overall, I think I have a good shot about making the playoffs this year. There's a guy in our league that drafted to win now, and his team is pretty stacked. So, although I think my team is one of the better in the league, I don't realistically see my team taking the chip home this year. The team I drafted is pretty young so I have plenty of future assets who I feel good about. My question is, what is your personal philosophy on having a good but not great team? Obviously anything can happen, people can get injured for other teams and I can have over-performers, but it's unlikely enough would go my way to put me in the finals. Is there any benefit to being an above average team if you're not realistically going to win it, or should I be thinking about selling my win now-type assets (think Jonathan Taylor) and just be completely uncompetitive this year? I'm an experienced redraft player but this is my first dynasty so just looking for anyone's personal opinions or advice!
