AITA for being recorded by someone without my consent

So this is a trivial thing I want to vent my frustration more than anything, but I had a bizarre encounter just now.

I work part time as an event bartender. Tomorrow I have an event in the morning for Labor Day. I check the details about the gig and I see I need to get a parking pass. I checked the job board a little late admittedly, but once I see I need to get this pass I get in my car and drive to our main office (for lack of a better term) to pick up the pass. Unfortunately the place is closed.

I parked out in the back alley where we usually park to pick up everything for our events. When I get there, there’s a woman and he son in a car parked there too. They are just sitting there. It’s clear that no one is there, but I text my boss. I don’t have any keys to the building. So I wait a few minutes for my boss to reply.

As I get out if my car the lady in her car opens the door and asks if I need anything. I tell her I work there and cane by to pick something up. The way she says “Oh okay.” Tells me she didn’t believe me but whatever.

After a few minutes I noticed my text to my boss didn’t go through. Not uncommon in this industry we often bartend weddings and stuff in the middle of nowhere with no cell service. So I get back in my car, and start to drive off.

Then I noticed her son had his phone up and was recording me. Admittedly, I haven’t eaten much today and I can get angry when I’m hungry. I step out of my car and I say, “Hey are you recording me?”

He denies it. Says I’m being paranoid. He says he’s texting, and asks why he would think I was recording him. I don’t know maybe because nobody texts at a 90 degree angle and his phone was following my movements. I explain why I’m there once again. His mom says if I really had no issues then I wouldn’t mind be recorded. At that point I just got in my car and drove away. I left a message for my boss idk when they’ll get it.

I’m so annoyed, and I can’t help but think about her claim that I shouldn’t be upset if I did nothing wrong. So I guess I leave it to you? Am I wrong? AITA?
