Booking accommodations with a tourist visa requirement?

I’ve never been to a country that has a tourist visa requirement, but I am a Canadian planning to go to Egypt in November and don’t know how to go about booking.

I’m not sure if i’m overthinking it but whats the process like for getting a visa? I don’t want to book everything and get denied entry or something, I have no criminal record, but idk maybe the border officer is having a bad day or on a power trip, idk. Never done anything like that before but its a trip of a lifetime for me.

What do i expect and how do i go about planning my trip? They allow e-visa and visa on arrival process
