PCOS - blood test

General Health

I’m annoyed because, while I managed to get my testosterone to drop from 1.5 back to 1.3 and lost 11 pounds, my LH was 15 in May and is now 15.5 in August. My FSH also went up slightly and is now 6.5.

I’m also concerned about my kidneys:

  • Creatinine: 90 → 95 µmol/L (slightly high)
  • eGFR: 77 → 72 mL/min/1.73m² (mildly reduced; normal ≥90 at age 25)
  • PTH: 57 ng/L (borderline high, at the upper limit of normal)

These results suggest early signs of mildly reduced kidney function and possible secondary hyperparathyroidism, which could be due to low vitamin D or early kidney changes.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m thinking of asking my doctor to order tests for vitamin D, calcium, and phosphate. My parathyroid hormone was 57 ng/L, right at the edge of being high. :(

I am 25 and weight 159 pounds at 5'9.5 ft
