I 25 F want to break up with my boyfriend 27 M because he wants to accept a job out of the country, am I making the decision too quickly?

My boyfriend knows that I would breakup if he accepted a job out of the country. This morning he spoke about how he is going into final round interviews for two jobs, one in the city we live in and one out of the country. He said that he hopes the job out of the country gives him an offer because it’s an exciting opportunity. I then asked for a break until he gets a job offer because I don’t want to put effort into a relationship when he’s going to move away. I am thinking of full on breaking up with him now because I just feel hurt, he’s hoping to get this job and leave, or he gets the other job and is disappointed but has me? I understand people should chase their dreams but I still feel hurt that I’m with someone who’s saying out loud how happy he is to move away and lose me. He seemed a little upset by me initiating the break but he understood my reasons.
