First time player - question about RNG grind
Hello all. I'm a big fan of puzzle games, having recently played through lots of suggestions like Lorelei/obra dinn/Sennar/golden idol and the like. Blue prince sounds like a logical fit for me to now try. The one thing that makes me pause however is the time commitment the game seems to require. I have very little time for gaming (at least in comparison to my younger years) so I'm wary of any games that artificially expand their play time through grind or RNG mechanics.
Reviewers who's tastes match my own have mentioned that the end of BP felt frustratingly drawn out for them due to its mechanics. Is there anyway to negate this through mods on PC? And if so, should I install said mods at the start, or wait until I feel the grind and then use them?
I want to keep the deduction and gradual reveal of the interconnected puzzle aspects as similar to the intention as possible, but once I know what I want to do, be able to execute that idea without a battle with RNG each time (if that makes sense - I'm trying to describe a game I've not played yet 😅)
Any suggestions greatly welcomed.
