Before I turn 23, I want to give myself a one-month rom-com love story.
Hi everyone,
All my life I’ve been serious…responsibilities, moving away from my home country, providing for family, working, surviving. But I’ve never really lived for myself. Before I turn 23 and throw myself fully into the business I’m planning to start, I want to do something just for me: experience a love story, even if it only lasts one month.
Here’s my idea: a one-month romance pact with someone around my age. We’d go on 10–15 dates that feel straight out of a movie: stargazing and wishing on a shooting star, painting each other on a picnic, dancing in the rain, exploring flea markets, trying food festivals, gifting flowers, writing letters after each date about what we liked or didn’t like (and what we want next), and making keepsakes like clay trinkets or painted candles. Maybe even writing a tiny short story together and publishing it online just for fun. Think of it like… a teenage rom-com, the kind you wish you had when you were younger. Cute dates, silly adventures, laughing too much, maybe even share a kiss… but that’s not the focus. It’s about living out those memories we never got to have… well, I at least never had that… lol.
The rules would be:
-
No sex (I’m fine with light kisses, cheek or lips).
-
No catching feelings (yes, I know this one is tricky).
-
It’s about vibes, adventure, intimacy, and creating something beautiful… even if it’s temporary.
After the month, we part ways and just carry the memory.
I don’t want to use dating apps. My thought was to just approach someone I find interesting and… ask them… politely of course.
