Chronic cyberbullying from other countries.
[Posing on behalf of OP, a friend of mine, 25F.]
I'am a gamer, and very recently opened a X (formerly Twitter) account around 2 months ago to join the communities of the games I play.
Unfortunately, I came across some really nasty people who started harassing me after they got to know that I'am an Indian woman, after I made a stupid post which sounded offensive to native-English speakers for which I have already apologized for.
The bullying started AFTER I apologized for my dumb mistake, right underneath the post. And has been going on non-stop for 62 days as of today, and they have repeatedly target-harassed me a total of six times in a span of 60 days.
I have refused to engage with them, and blocked them a long time ago. Yet, they stalk my account, take screenshots, and make malicious narratives by using them out of context which are completely false in order to defame my character. They also ask their friends to visit my account and leave comments with malicious intentions in order to incite more harassment. They have also made some very xenophobic comments after stalking my account for umpteenth time. I have less than 190 followers, while all of them are big accounts ranging 500 to 2000+ followers.
This entire incident has pushed me into a deep deppression, and I won't lie, it also deteriorated my mental health drastically to the point of self-harm tendencies (I'am currently getting treatment for it).
What are the procedures I should follow in order to take proper legal actions against them? None of them are minors, for context. Victim is from India. And the bullies are from UK, US, and Türkiye.
I have hard evidence of them target harassing women on purpose to drive them off the platform, along with the harassment I faced. Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
[P.S.: Please be gentle, as OP is in a fragile state at the moment. Kind and polite words would be very much appreciated.]
