Been replaying Trap Team and….
It’s definitely one of the weaker games. Weakest? That’s too harsh. Personally I like all the game in the series but Imaginators is the weakest no matter what way you look at it. As for Trap Team it’s just it’s gimmick gets boring after awhile. Due to how many of the villains are small little nothings with simple designs. We’re not trapping villains, we’re trapping minions. Plus I wish more of these guys were layered. Appearing in cutscenes, more detailed backstories and having a bigger presence throughout the level instead of just showing up and being defeated in two seconds. And idk how to explain it but things feel less grand and imaginative like the other games. It’s like the Kung Fu Panda 4 of Skylanders, it just makes the world feel tiny. Plus I hate how useless the cores are cuz Food Fight and Torch are fun to play as. And my biggest problem is how Kaos is treated as one of the lower ranked villains and how the Doom Raiders view him. Isn’t this the same guy who banished the Skylanders, killed Eon and in every other game is treated as the most feared villain in all of Skylands. The thing I loved about Kaos is how he was a tiny little guy but still caused a lot of damage and was a capable villain despite his comedy. Honestly he’s more of a Chucky than a Zim. It’s why I kinda the Academy show for messing up his character, my man is not a Mommy’s boy and doesn’t want anyone’s approval. He cares for nothing but himself and what benefits him. What do I like about Trap Team? The Trap Masters are cool. For all the misses there are good villains like Masker Mind and Pain Yatta. The Doom Raiders are so cool, my favourite being Krankcase. Playing as Kaos feels so rewarding and Chill Bill is the goat
