A guy (22M) I matched with on Bumble while on vacation wants to visit me (19F). I want to meet him, but I’m nervous. How do I navigate this?

So around July 2024, I went on vacation. While there, I matched with some people on various dating apps. This one guy I matched with was super duper sweet. We chatted the whole time I was there but never met because I was 18 and it was a family trip so I couldn’t really leave and go somewhere alone to meet this guy. One night we said goodnight, and never messaged again… until the other day. I was going through DMs and saw him and decided to reach out and check in. He was super sweet as per usual, and we started chatting about various things. Long story short, after talking about the island I live on, he started saying he’d want to visit someday, and I said I could show him around. Then it became more of an actual “let’s do this” rather than just an idea. So as of right now, he wants to visit in November for 2-3 days, and we’re going to call soon to discuss details of the trip. I’m a bit nervous. I’ve met people from dating apps before, but this feels different since this guy is living a 3 hour plane ride away. He’s also japanese and being from a small north american town I’m hoping there’s no cultural barrier or anything. I do want to meet him but I want to know how to navigate this safely since I’ve never met anyone from online like this before. I also am still fully supported financially by my parents, so I’m not sure if I’d be able to partake in all the activities he wants to do since I’m not sure how they’d feel about this. Please help!
