Outdoor lights and Zigbee

I’m looking to add about 8 Econic Outdoor pedestals to my walk way. With a light strip and two bulbs outside already, it was hard to get them to connect to my hue bridge. With these pedestals even further away, is it the power brick with the zigbee controller in it, or do the pedestals have the controller? I can mount the brick closer to the bridge but worried the pedestals will have a hard time connecting.
