how do I control the instability in high engine braking? (F1 2024/Controller)

Hey everyone,

I've just started playing F1 2024 after I bought it a while ago and I've been struggling to drive fast.

I try and use the setups on youtube and tweak it to my preferences but most setups, if not all, set a really high value of engine braking and that makes the car unstable to a point where I spin out at every braking zone as soon as I downshift to the 4th gear.

Does anyone have tips on countering this issue? I feel I don't recharge enough throughout the lap and have no battery left to attack or defend. To manage this I often have to switch off ERS completely. Moreover, I play on controller and don't have a wheel so braking and turning while trying to manage that spin is a lil challenging.
