Offered a position but automated email denied?

Hi everyone,

I’m a new grad and I recently applied for a residency program. I scored a few interviews and the very next day, I was offered a position for a Med-Surg Telemetry unit. The recruiter explained the pay, told me I just needed to fill out their application, and then she would send over the official offer.

But today, I got an automated email saying I was not selected for the position. I’m really confused—since I was already told I had the job offer. Has this happened to anyone before? Should I reach back out to the recruiter to clarify?

Just looking for some insight or advice because I don’t want to lose this opportunity if it’s just a system glitch.
