a good manila one week itinerary for a newbie?

Hi, I'm going to visit Manila for a week to see if I want to move there in the future or not. Is there a good one week itinerary of stuff I should explore to get the feel to see if I like the city or not? I know if I lived there everyone said go to BGC. I just don't want to go and be in a shopping mall the entire time.

Also any tips on making friends in Manila as an expat working remotely if I do decide to move there?
