Shooting Vertically

Getting ready to shoot some super8 for social media and wanted to see what everyone’s experience shooting super8 vertically. Is it as simple as rotating the camera vertically or are there other things to be aware of?

Originally I was thinking about shooting normally and then cropping but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts!

I’ll be using the canon auto zoom 814!
