Piercer used externally threaded jewelry
So I had my vertical labret pierced almost 3 weeks ago, and the other day I took one of the balls off (temporarily, to measure the ball for a custom order I was placing online).... only to notice my piercer gave me EXTERNALLY threaded jewelry 🤦🏻♀️ face palm. I went to what i thought was a reputable piercer and naively assumed he would use internally threaded/threadless (as this is supposed to be the industry standard). Now here I am set to downsize in a week and all im thinking about is how changing it could potentially damage my fistula. My vl has been healing wonderfully and I'm praying this doesnt set me back. Any suggestions for how to go about it in the least traumatic way? Will it be okay as long as the bar is lubed up with saline solution before removal? Any other precautions i should take?
