Luton drivers are so bad.

Humour

I moved to Luton 3 weeks ago for a new career. I use my bike to do errands in non-rush hour times. From all the places I've cycled in the drivers here are like no other. Constant honking, needless revving, shouting, swearing, not leaving enough space, cutting red lights, etc. This happens to me several times without question on my short rides. Like today I was almost hit by a van. I'm putting a hold on cycling till I can afford to move to St Albans.

No wonder I see a disproportionate amount of cyclists permanently on pavements. I'm not good on bumpy surfaces so I stick to roads 99% of the time but I did try this yet issues remain. Lots of cars parked on pavements and some people don't process bells usually cos their too busy on their phone.

I drive too. Even as a driver these other drivers are causing me trouble. They're so fast, and they're not even good at driving fast as well. Recklessly doing 30 in a 20 residential is typical. Recently I had to upgrade my car insurance from 3rd party to comprehensive. I may have to downgrade my sporty car if the next insurance renewal doesn't go down.

Road laws are suggestions not laws here, and adults having the patience of iPad kids is common. It's not a small portion of drivers either from my experiences.
