Career Advice/Rant/Help Needed
Hi. I’m beginning to think I absolutely effed up. I did my LLB and went on to pursue an LLM in IADR in SGP (for a couple of reasons). I find it really annoying and frustrating how I have managed to build a decent network, but it’s of no use cause it leads nowhere. I haven’t been able to find any decent opportunities in any firm, neither in SG, UK or my home country. Every firm wants candidates to have some work experience, which is fair. But i haven’t even been able to start my career to gain experience. I’ve done loads of internships and have considerable experience. But I feel like I’m way too young, even in age and experience, to be able to take off. I want to do paralegal work but I either get ghosted, or rejected probably cause of visa issues, which is also fair. I get ghosted in my home country as well, which is super super frustrating. I’ve been told that the market is oversaturated and there’s a lot of capable graduates, but it’s still making cry fr. I want to do international arbitration and disputes, but it just doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere 😭
What do I do?
