How do I get a ornery kookaburra

As the titles suggests I’m a level 40 fire wizard and I’m trying to get the ornery kookaburra pet, I’m using the kiosk and breeding a firebat with a life kookaburra but I keep getting the life kookaburra egg, am I doing something wrong? I’ve done 6 attempts so far.
