Best Neighborhood for reverse commute?

Looking to move into the city. I drive a lot for work and the majority of what I do takes place in the suburbs (Elk Grove, Naperville, St Charles). Is there a neighborhood that is best for commuting out of the city by car?

I don’t mind the driving just looking if there is a place that stands out as being more convenient.
