What's one scene from a movie you was enjoying that ruined the whole experience?

Discussion

Years ago I was watching 'The Astronaut Farmer' with Billy Bob Thornton. Thornton plays a former USAF pilot now rancher who wants to build a rocket to fly into space. Government red tape and bureaucracy though gets in the way of his dream. The films premise for the most part was overall entertaining. Just a regular guy trying to do something big and accomplishing a dream.

What killed the mood for my interest in finishing the film was one scene around the third into it. The government finally steps down on him and demands him to stop what he is doing. In a bout of anger he storms home, gets into the rocket, and activates it. What follows is a series of actions that was just so cartoonish. The thing falls on its side and shoots off across the ground, I think bounces around a bit, before crashing into something. After this I thought, "Oh, it's a dream sequence, maybe of him having qualms of going through this after all". Nope, it goes into a slow-mo sequence of getting into the hospital and was not a dream. While the premise wasn't too realistic I could still buy it but that scene there absolutely just spoiled it for me, lol.

Anyways, what film had the same experience for you?
