An Incident that was first revealed 900+ chapters in turned out to be such a focal point in the story

For a guy who stabbed kid to turn down his chance of joining a pirate crew, oda has made Rocks a lovable character but at the very end.

Its kinda crazy that we are about to be revealed the incident that did the following:

• made garp the hero of the marines and arguably made Roger be the leader of his era
• made kuma, ivankov get the powers they got
• likely not only make Dragon turn into revolutionary, but also provided the background to his speech about how "Family is the weakness to a man" ****
• made dragon save the guy who inspired his own kid to go become king of the pirates
• gave kaido his powers
• cause Blackbeard to go the route he went
• get Rayleigh and Shakky together after the will they won't they for a few chapters. It's kinda funny that it's kind of a Ron/Hermione situation. I know JK Rowling tried to fan fic re-imgaining with Harry being with Hermione but Ron and Hermione ending up together. The main characters right hand man ending up with the best girl. Roger is the main character and his right hand man ends up with the best girl.

So there is a little side story that I think everyone kinda forgot as a throwaway. Fishman Island was under the protection of whitebeard prior to his death and the reason for that is because whitebeard and Neptune became friends after Neptune saved him when he was heavily injured. I think this is the incident that lead to that friendship.

**** so i don't think it's saving Shanks and Shamrock that made dragon have that feeling. I think Garling and potentially Imu(controlling a body) are the one who killed Rocks and i think they used Rocks family to intentionally get his guard down and stabbed him in the back. And i think Dragon witnesses this while protecting Shanks and Shamrock. I think Roger and Garp try to get to Rocks but it ends up being too late or potentially Holy Knights and the situation made Garp hold down Roger while that incident took place. Its entirely possible this might be the first and only time we see Garp kinda best Roger but Garp ends up letting Roger go.

This incident and this backstory really flipped the story on its head. At this point, Teachs main sin was killing Thatch. Sure he captured Ace but Ace was Freed. He was just instigated into fighting Akainu and protecting luffy that lead to his death. Whitebeard was basically at his death bed when Blackbeards crew finished him off.

I think it's entirely possible that at the end of the story luffy and teach fight side by side.

Oda is really cooking here. For as grand a story as One Piece has gotten i wonder how Oda thinks he can finish the story in even 5 years time.

We were kinda told Roger's story during wano on how they reached the final island and discovered they need road poneglyph and getting Oden and finding laughtale. Plus we know Roger's hometown is Loguetown and his introduction to Rayleigh. So I dont think we will learn anything further. Except that scene where Shanks cries.

We still need to learn about Joy Boy and his story with Imu. I doubt there is a big story on luffys birth. I think dragon had a kid and told his dad and his dad dropped him off with Makino for a time before moving him to dadan. Whether its tritoma or whoever

I'm so glad I picked up this anime and got into the manga. Also fuck Texas for potentially banning manga/anime. Words can't describe how much I find the state annoying and how much I hate politicans from that state.
