My pet peeve with transformation is fantasy

Am I the only one (okay, I know that probably not, I'm looking for sisters) who are annoyed as hell when there is this great race in fantasy, immortal or almost immortal, always youthful, powerful, with sharper senses, stronger, faster, beautiful etc, I could go on, and there are always humans (or that race) that whining and whaling about "don't become like that, it's so horrible", "I'm suffering now that I'm beautiful and young and healthy". Jee, what's with that? No, I don't have sympathy for you and your drama, where can I sign up for this horrible thing?
