Pregnant with a degenerating disc

It has been a big morning. I found out that my persistent back pain that has kept me from work for a few weeks (I'm practically bed-bound) but "will be fine soon" is from a degenerating disc (L5-S1) according to the x ray. Follow up with PCP is tomorrow. I also found out that I'm pregnant (CD 26, 12 DPO). My OB can't see me for 2 weeks. This pregnancy is wanted and planned for (before the back pain was severe), but now I am terrified that I need to choose between treating my debilitating back pain or keeping my pregnancy, especially since pregnancy would be additional stress on my back. Has anyone else had this experience? Were you able to do both, or am I going to need to terminate in order to get the care I need for my back? (Please leave any particular moral judgements about termination at the door - I am scared and in pain and judgement will not help me.)
