Weight loss and hormonal skin
Hi Ladies, first time posting here. Looking for some support or some I've been there, it'll get better.
So long story short.
Diagnosed at 16. 38 now. I'm 5ft 4 and I've always struggled with my weight. Basi6since i hit puberty.
Just before covid, I was finally prescribed metformin. I lost 42 lbs. Down to around 165 which is skinny for me. I was exercising and in the best shape of my life. Then I suffered an injury which meant I couldn't exercise. Then I started having crippling pain. Enter endo diagnosis. Severe pain for about a year. 1st surgery for endo. Year later, still recovering form injury and endo pain comes back. Ovary removal. Somewhere around here I stopped taking my metformin.
Over the next 4 years, I piled on 56lbs.
2 months ago I started taking metformin again. I've also seriously reduced the amount that I've been eating. I haven't had a single sweet or salty snack in over a month. And its working. In the last 4 weeks, I've lost 11lbs! This is nothing short of a miracle for me.
My problem now is that my skin is having a major hormonal flair up. Spots all over my chin and forehead. I'm like a pubescent boy. For a 38 year old woman, it embarrassing.
Has anyone experienced this when they've cleaned up their diet or lost weight? Has anyone found anything that actually helps? I'd really appreciate it ladies. My face hurts
