Single dad of 2. Need something reliable 15k budget

See title. I have two boys and needs something big enough to haul bike and camping equipment. Currently driving a 2011 nissan Xterra it's haveing intermittent issues dying and the mechanics I have brought it to can't seem to figure it out. It has 320xxx miles now and I dumped 2k into repairs with no luck. Just want something that isn't going to be a money pit.

Thanks in advance for the advice.
