looking for charming narrators

The last dozen books i've read had cynical narrators who i hated. the books were fine, but it gets tiring hanging out with people you don't want to hang out with.

i want to fall in love with a narrator. i wish i could give an example but i can't. looking for: first person, unique voice, optimistic, funny, cute, you know, charming.
