My Dino Crisis fan-novel

I'm writing my Dino Crisis fan-novel, which directly and faithfully adapts the first game (with some adaptations and inclusions of new elements). I'm looking to develop the characters and make them more human and relatable. If you want, you can help me in the comments with some of your ideas (remembering that I'm talking about our protagonist trio and Dr. Kirk)
