Hello,

I am looking for help on how to focus my resume for a move to a management position in Data Analytics. I have been working full time for 23 years, I have been working in the same industry for 16 years. However, most of my experience is more of a generalist and I am applying for positions that are either titled Director of Data Analytics, Manager Data Analytics, or something like Senior Data Analytics Lead. Basically, I am looking to move from my more generalist role, which is called Enterprise Systems Administrator but which is somewhat like IT Applications Manager.

I have tailored this version to focus more on my work with BI tools. Which, for the past two years I have been managing the data team. I have also over 10+ years experience being essentially a full stack developer, ie taking data from ERP system through to creating visuals and everything in between. Yet, that has not been the sole focus of my job.

What is not on here is the years from high school to 2009, where I worked as a computer sales man and repair desk technician for a large electronics retailer.

Still, I am curious what I may add or remove to better make the switch from a generalist to do less and make more money. I currently am looking at positions either in the midwest, onsite, or remote. I do not have a strong preference.

Also to note, I don't hold any certifications so I am relying mostly on my years of experience.
