[Landlord US-CA] is it reasonable to expect 700+ credit score?

New landlord in San Francisco and want to be extra careful about screening applicants do to how costly it can be to have the wrong tenant in this city. When I first listed, I saw that there were other listings that required 700+ credit score and also read articles that mentioned average credit score for renters in San Francisco is 720 so thought that was reasonable. First applicant met requirement but ended up finding another place and withdrawing application. Three subsequent applicants have not met the 700+ criteria so I declined (2 of the 3 had two people on application where one met criteria and the other did not). Am I asking for too much? If so what would be a more reasonable expectation and how much riskier would it be?
