Inbound (content) or outbound (cold email/calls) for client acquisition? - How are you minimising the risk if you're only relying on one?
Hey, curious to know how you're acquiring clients and what's the distribution in terms of inbound, outbound and referrals? Interested to know if the whole pipeline got affected in case of only one channel.
For me, the first few clients were through cold emails and then referrals from them.
I did some content as well when I was cold emailing and I realised it helped with conversions (more trust) and then later on it started to bring some inbound leads here and there.
At this point, I get leads from both these channels. But, most of my business is from cold emailing.
I also noticed that with content (inbound) - there are fluctuations. However, with the latter you're more in control especially with who you target, how you filter the best ones, email copy and offer you make.
I have certainly been relying on cold email as it consistently brings more clients each month. But, the leads from content are a good bonus as well.
Curious to know what's the distribution of business coming from inbound vs outbound vs referrals. Most importantly - how are you minimising the risk in context of BD?
