New to reading, need beginner-friendly thriller/detective book recommendations

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m very new to reading—apart from school textbooks, I haven’t really read any books before. But I’ve always loved suspense, thriller, and detective-type stories.

Can you recommend some beginner-friendly books in this genre that are fast-paced and will keep me hooked till the very end? I’d love something that makes it hard to put the book down.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
