Inflated THC% workaround?

I picked up two 3.5g pre-packs from Lume in Grand Rapids yesterday. One was Pro Gro Do-Si-Bow and the other Michigents Sunkizt. I don’t shop by THC percentage at all and honestly I have a low tolerance so in the past I’d actually lean towards lower percentage strains.

Both of these had a tested THC percentage over 30-35%. Both were also harvested in July of this year. One of the labs, the one on the Michigents I think it was had that little (potential deviation of +/- 10%) I smoked a bit of both and they had terpene profiles I’m familiar with but it definitely wasn’t anything mind blowing.

My thoughts are this: Are labs, in an attempt to save themselves from scrutiny, going to add that little caveat so that if something tests at 25% they can increase it that extra 10% knowing that a lot of people still THC hunt? In reality they could also sell you a 10% strain, claim 20% and it’s all good. It’s frustrating because I do titrate doses and anyone trying to use cannabis medically is really going to have an impossible time dosing themselves. Probably dosing too low, or possibly with an uncomfortable extra heavy dose.
